About Anabelle Baez (Nuclear ink)
I stand before you now, draped in black and blue robes, a stack of papers in my hands. My advisors are behind me, their presence silent yet supportive. As I lean into the microphone, the audience's silence envelops me, their full attention on my words. By the end of my speech, the room erupts in applause, caps are thrown, and a wave of joy spreads throughout the crowd. People cheer, hug, and leave the hall, their faces glowing with smiles. This moment—my high school graduation—remains one of my most cherished memories. High school was filled with many such moments. One that stands out was when I worked with five talented artists to create a mural for an elementary school. We brainstormed countless ideas, but the concept of an art mural captured my imagination. After presenting a sketch to the team, they eagerly agreed, and for days, we collaborated, bringing our vision to life. It was a rewarding process, and I was proud of what we accomplished. More recently, while work was at its highest, my uncle invited me to collaborate on a game development project. I eagerly accepted, and within days, I joined my first game jam, an online competition where teams create a game in a short time frame. After thirty hours of intense work, we submitted a functional game for judging.Although challenging, it was immensely fulfilling and a wonderful project to be apart of. These experiences, both artistically and technically, have shaped my journey and continue to inspire me as I pursue my passions.
